edu/ Location Main Campus Address Tucson, AZ USA Position Highlights The University of Arizona School of Theater, Film, and Television invites applications for a 9-month, full-time, Stage & Production Manager.
The incumbent will serve as Production Manager for a 3-5 show season and act as a Stage Manager for 3 plays in that season.
Duties will include scheduling, royalty negotiations, and responsibility for the production budget.
This is a professional staff position, the incumbent will teach one course in Advanced Stage Management, as well as provide guidance for undergraduate stage managers.
Some weekend and evening work may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities The incumbent will report directly to the School of TFTV Director.
Typically supervises a staff of exempt and non-exempt employees as assigned by the director.
Serves as Production Manager for the season of live-theatre plays, including studio productions, the New Works Festival, and student showcases.
Supervises production and facility scheduling, and negotiating royalties.
Strategic budgetary planning and development of annual production budget in conjunction with the TFTV Director.
Oversees, facilitates and executes the production budget in conjunction with directors, designers, and technicians.
Coordinates with artists or production representatives (including student and faculty choreographers) and reads contracts to ascertain needs for the production; determines feasibility and supervises arrangements for special staging, rental equipment, special effects, parking and security.
May need to travel to pick up props, flooring, etc.
from Centennial Hall or other venues.
Supervise and advise all undergraduate stage managers.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift/transport a maximum of 50 pounds.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • Strong professional written communication skills.
• Exceptionally well organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with different groups and individuals.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and juggling multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
• Willingness and ability to collaborate with others.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge of recent advancements in facilities management, building security and theatre production.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required Minimum of 3 years of related work experience including experience in managing production budgets.
Position requires flexible work schedule, including some evening and weekends, and access to a vehicle is required for errands.
Must have a valid drivers license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a higher education institution.
