Job Summary:
This is a full-time position to be worked out of our Tucson, Arizona office.
If you have 5+ years experience as a product manager in enterprise systems, then you have found your new home! As an Associate Product Manager, you will assist and support the Product Management Department by performing research, analysis, planning and liaising with other teams across the organization, to deliver the Board’s vision of our Enterprise Knowledge Performance System.
This role requires some experience in the areas of Data Science or Data Engineering.
Responsibilities:
Develop a functional understanding of our SourceOne system
Analyze the competitive offerings in the platform market and design differentiations
Liaise with multiple internal stakeholders such as marketing, sales, and product development on product issues
Define business cases to derive product requirements and enhancements
Assist with product roadmaps and building consensus on priorities leading to requirement definitions
Develop and deliver product demos and presentations
Other duties as required
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science or equivalent field
Minimum 5 years experience in a Product Manager role
Knowledge of market research and data analysis for product management
Strong collaboration skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skill combined with some business acumen
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A passion for technology and a customer-centric mindset
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while also paying attention to details and deadlines
Proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and adapt, as this role requires continuously improving skills and keeping up with the latest industry trends
Willingness to take ownership and responsibility for product success; shows passion and is invested in the product as well as in our business
Above and Beyond Qualifications:
Up-to-date knowledge in the areas of data science, knowledge engineering and knowledge systems
Programming skills in Python, SQL, DAX.
Exposures to programming languages such as C and C++
Some experience in the software industry, working in engineering/scientific software analytics solutions (mining engineering/operations a plus)
