00! POSITION SUMMARY The Assistant Program Director provides direct support to the Program Director and serves as a secondary liaison with outside agencies.
The Assistant Program Director oversees norms and safety within the program, implementing, monitoring and managing the daily schedule and operations.
The Assistant Program Director carries out policies, procedures and administrative supervision to ensure that services are provided in a trauma informed and outcome-oriented environment.
This position requires the ability to build effective teams, moderate conflict, and is responsible for maximizing staff performance through ongoing supervision and training.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists with collection, maintenance and submission of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the appropriate personnel at VQ and the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
Assists with overall supervision and management of program personnel including recruitment, hiring, training, and termination.
Assists with facilitating established training guidelines and curriculum for employee training.
Responsible for the direct supervision of Youth Care Workers (YCW) including creating and maintaining work schedules.
Facilitates program services, including evenings, weekends or on call rotation with Program Director.
Reviews monthly financials alongside the Program Director to ensure compliance with operations/contract agreements adhering to negotiated annual budget and spending requirements.
Monitors the program facility and vehicle maintenance, inventories control and bulk purchases.
Maintains a safe, clean and hazard-free environment.
Monitors and maintains compliance with organization, licensing, and funding for all departments.
Maintains familiarity with local, state, and federal policies and procedures.
Assumes the duties and responsibilities in the absence of Program Director or as requested.
Attends all departmental meetings and required training to ensure policies and procedures are up to date and adhered to.
Assists in evacuation of youth as needed due to inclement weather conditions, natural disasters, or unforeseen occurrences.
SKILLS & ABILITIES: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organized with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Excellent time management skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science.
5 years of progressive employment experience with a social services/child care agency or organization.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 21 years of age or older.
Flexible schedule (evening, weekends, holidays) to facilitate program services.
Cleared tuberculosis test results.
Cleared background checks from appropriate entities.
Obtain and maintain First Aid Certification (CPR) and Level 1 fingerprint clearance card.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive to facilitate program services as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: May lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds infrequently.
Performs tasks that may involve standing or walking 50% of the day; sitting 50%of the day.
May bend, stoop, reach and grasp as necessary.
The pay range for this role is: 91,524 - 91,524 USD per year (881 Steven Rogers Village)
