edu Location Main Campus Address Tucson, AZ USA Position Highlights The University of Arizona's Parking and Transportation Services department is seeking a qualified candidate to fill their Lead Parking Enforcement Officer position.
The primary function of this role is to assist the Parking Services Manager with team supervision and the enforcement of parking regulations.
This position will work with campus partners to enable the successful execution of large-scale public and private events on campus and provide superior customer service while supporting the Parking and Transportation Services mantra that we are here to make everyone on campus successful.

Duties & Responsibilities Submit routine incident reports to capture and document property damage to the university by motorists or other incidents.
Supervise Parking Services Officers and their schedules, assign officers to special events and coordinate activity accordingly to achieve goals.
Provide direct supervision of Parking Services Officers and Student Parking Services Officers.
Liaison with other campus departments or contractors to ensure parking rules are adhered to and provide options towards a resolution.
Take leadership initiative by being proactive in solving parking issues and maintaining positive working relationships with our campus partners.
Organize planned and/or short notice traffic control to facilitate access and reduce traffic congestion to parking facilities during large scale events or peak times on campus.
Set long term goals and objectives for team members to achieve performance standards.
Coordinate with the Appeals, Customer Service, and other Parking and Transportation Services teams and external organizations to resolve customer complaints.
Coordinate and oversee consistency in training and development of new Parking Services Officers, which includes both staff and students.
Ensure training materials are reviewed and revised annually, or as needed, to keep up with best practices and changes to procedures.
Communicate performance expectations, career conversations, and periodic performance reviews.
Manage and coordinate general preventative maintenance, repairs, and cleanliness of golf cart fleet and golf cart spaces.
Effectively communicate verbally or written Parking and Transportation Services processes to campus users, guests, and visitors.
Perform management duties in the absence of department Manager.
Subject to weekend shifts and various hours.
Other duties as assigned.

Skilled at problem-solving in a team environment.
Skilled relationship builder who can bring teams closer together through collaboration.
Knowledgeable on strategies to motivate teams.
Physical Requirements: Lifting/moving up to 30 pounds often.
Lifting/moving more than 50 pounds rarely.
Repetitive and sustained bending at the waist, stooping, or squatting may occur during shifts, up to 5 minutes at a time.
Work Environment: Outdoor Environment: Employees work outdoors and may not be protected from weather conditions.
Extreme Heat: Temperatures above 100 degrees for more than an hour.
Extreme Cold: Temperatures below 40 degrees for more than an hour.
Noise: There is sufficient noise to cause you to shout to be heard above the noise level.
Hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving vehicles or exposure to chemicals in work setting.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
Preferred Qualifications Parking and/or university experience.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.
