edu Location Main Campus Address Tucson, AZ USA Position Highlights This position oversees the stability and security of all PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (Uaccess Student) environments.
This position manages 3-5 direct reports and approximately 2 contractors.
All application upgrades, patches, and code changes across the stack are the responsibility of this position.
The technical stack includes PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Skuid/Inflight, Gideon Taylor, Course Dog, and more than 50 integrations that leverage Boomi, Control M csv files, API end points, and PS Integration Broker.
The team’s mission is to continually improve the student experience for all university students.
Uaccess Student is how students register for classes, receive final grades, pay for tuition, receive financial aid, and so much more.
Current and future projects include modernization of the student experience, improved workflow for students on probation and academic appeals, forms modernization, new workflows for room and course registrations, and coming into compliance with new financial aid requirements.
The developers work in partnership with business analysts to develop specifications to solve some of the largest priorities the university has.
The team has well established workflows and procedures for most items with each team member having more than 10 years of development experience.
This position allows for in state (AZ) remote work.

edu Duties & Responsibilities Management of team members and consultants.
Responsible for setting each person’s priorities, ensuring peer review and risk reviews are completed for all code team wide, improving any policy or security practice that creates a more stable and secure environment for Uaccess Student.
Conducts annual employee assessments and provides year-round professional development to help improve each team member and the capabilities of the entire team.
Writing code and assisting others in creating approaches to solve problems that improve the university’s ability to admit students, register for classes, payment, financial aid disbursement, and document credits earned.
Communicating within the team to ensure a positive organizational culture.
Communicating with Business Analysts and stakeholders from across the university to ensure the mission of the student information system is under a continuous improvement process.
Communicates all technical ramifications to their IT Director, Chief Technology Officer for the university, and CIO.
Responsible for ensuring all Information Security Office procedures are understood and implemented.
Responsible for ensuring we are in good standing for the quarterly security reviews from FSO and the annual State ACFR audit.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Working knowledge of AWS architecture.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Ability to create a shared vision and help others participate.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and with other teams.
Knowledge of security best practices for enterprise applications.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft solutions.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree AND 5 years of related work experience, including 2 years of managerial experience OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in Angular JS.
Experience with balancing multiple high priority projects.
Experience writing PeopleSoft code.
