Do you want to work in a career where you have the ability to impact and change the lives of people in need? * JOB SUMMARY:* Is responsible for directing and delivering client-centered admissions services at Sabino Recovery.
Directs and manages the efforts of the intake/admissions and alumni/continuing care team including handling of client inquiries, converting inquiries to admissions, and ensuring a smooth, efficient admission process for new residents.
Is responsible for the development of staff and department processes to ensure effective coordination, communication, and quality of functions.
Develops and maintains systems for improving department operations and analysis.
*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* * Plans, organizes, directs, staffs and controls patient registration and facility admitting processes and operations; oversees patient financial counseling, insurance verification, pre-registration, service scheduling, point of service collections and related activities; ensures that assigned areas confirm to facility goals, objectives and requirements.
* Develops, recommends, and implements departmental policies and procedures to ensure their consistency with facility, state, federal and accreditation standards and requirements.
* Develops, recommends, and implements quality control systems to ensure that departmental services and activities are efficient and in compliance with facility, state, and accreditation standards and requirements.
* Engage with referring parties in a professional and collaborative manner to understand referring parties' needs, being aware that many referring parties call in an effort to transfer clients to other programs or seek additional help for clients in need of multiple services.
* Review and oversee admissions staff performance data.
* Conduct regular coaching and feedback sessions with admissions staff to improve their ability to handle and close inquiry calls.
* Conduct regular staff meetings and team-building exercises.
* Ensure inquiry calls are followed up in a timely way and are worked to the close with a constant sense of urgency.
* Provide strategic and tactical support for the intake team to create efficiencies and remove barriers to the acquisition of appropriate residents.
* Works closely with the Outreach, Medical, and Clinical departments to resolve any intake resident issues or concerns.
Attend clinical and management staff meetings.
* *ADDITIONAL **JOB FUNCTIONS:* * Must perform timely annual performance reviews for direct reports.
* Must ensure completion of all yearly mandatory training provided by Sabino Recovery.
* JOB SKILLS AND ABILITY* * Proven leadership ability * Must be knowledgeable of Sabino Recovery policies.
* Must have excellent written/oral communication skills.
* Must possess strong ethics and ability to maintain confidentiality.
* Able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Some Spanish preferred.
* Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
Able to write reports, business correspondence, and policies and procedures.
Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff.
* Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
* Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
* Good attention to detail.
* Able to deal effectively with distractions.
* Is reliable in achieving results within expected time periods.
* Able to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Able to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
* Is highly committed to workplace safety.
* EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:* * Associate's Degree, _and__ _five (5) years of applicable experience Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field preferred.
* *LICENSING/CERTIFICATION:* * Therapist or Social Worker license preferred, but not required.
* Must be able to obtain AZ Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance.
* Clear TB screening.
* REPORTING TO THIS POSITION:** *All admissions staff.
* PHYSICAL DEMANDS** AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:* * Physical Requirement* * Description* Stationary Position Must be able to remain in a sitting or stationary position for 75% of the time.
Move/ Traverse Must be able to occasionally traverse inside an office setting to access office equipment.
Operate equipment Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment.
Communicate Must be able to communicate and receive information telephonically and in-person with referents, residents, resident family members, and others.
Observe/ Identify Must be able to observe details at a close range, inclusive of information in electronic (computerized) format, and dry erase board.
