An exciting opportunity for a full time, days shift Lead Med Lab Scientist in our beautiful, Houghton hospital.
Summary:
Performs moderate and high complexity tests in the clinical laboratory.
Ensures that specimens are appropriate for test methodologies.
Documents all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations, and maintenance performed.
Assist customers with information regarding laboratory testing in a pleasant and professional manner.
Position Qualifications/Minimum Requirements
Education:
Required: Associate of Science degree or experience, education or other parameters that meet CLIA Federal Register requirement
Preferred: Bachelor of Science; MT/MLS through recognized certification agency such as ASCP or AMT with experience and examination.
Experience:
Required: Two (2) years of experience in a clinical laboratory.
Skills:
Ability to read, communicate, and document effectively through oral, written, or electronic means.
Excellent skills in customer relations.
Demonstrates the constant ability to prioritize and respond promptly to a changing workload.
Ability to respond to multiple situations and questions that require sound judgments and action for quality patient care.
