Director of Food/Dining Services

Job Description: The purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Food Service Departments at Fellowship Square Tucson in accordance with the current applicable Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations and our established policies, procedures, and expectations.
The Director of Food & Dining Services is responsible for the dietary operations and services of the independent living and assisted living residents.
This includes catering and special events as they pertain to these residents.
Responsibilities: Ability to assume the authority, responsibility and accountability of directing the Food Service Department for the Fellowship Square - Tucson campus.
Ability to provide quality customer service and hospitality in line with company expectations to personnel, residents, visitors, and the public.
Ability to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the dietary department, its programs and activities, etc.
Ability to ensure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
Ability to develop daily menus for various weekly cycles per year in addition to brunch, the Bistro café, special events and holidays.
To be present and available on dining floors during peak meal times.
Must be willing to work beyond normal working hours (40+ hours), and in other positions, when necessary.
Must possess leadership skills and be able to oversee staff effectively.
Qualifications: Must possess a bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, nutrition, or similar field; or be a graduate of a culinary institute.
Must be a Certified Food Service Manager recognized by the State of Arizona (i.
e.
ServSafe, National Restaurant Association certification) At least five years in hotel/restaurant and one-year institutional cooking, two of these years in supervisory capacity.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
