Position Summary: In this blended position, the Administrator / Director of Nursing Services is a registered professional nurse who serves as the overall leader of the surgery center, ensures the center provides quality care through the performance of the clinical team, ensures patients experience excellent customer service from business office staff, maintains a safe environment for patients, manages all employees, prepares for accreditation and regulatory surveys, manages the business affairs of the center, implements the strategic plan, administers board meetings and governance of the center, recruits new physicians and grows the business.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Directing, coordinating, and supervising the overall activities of the center.
Responsible for the efficient management of the center, including high levels of productivity and cost-effective supply utilization.
Assures all daily operations of the facility comply with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, as well as standards established by the accrediting organization.
Directs the operation of the facility and uses available resources to adequately maintain the physical property and equipment of the facility.
Provides direction and takes proactive action to achieve the mission and strategic financial and clinical objectives of the Facility.
In conjunction with the Medical Staff and Board, develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates all policies and procedures, ensuring that cost-effective, safe, and high-quality care is implemented.
Responsible for the organization's business affairs, including oversight of internal controls, cash management, development, and review of purchased services and maintenance contracts.
Oversees the appropriateness of clinical staff scheduling, performance, and effectiveness of each clinical team member.
Oversee developing and adhering to short- and long-range operational and capital budgets.
Establishes and maintains excellent physician and partner relationships.
Employs strategic thinking and strategies to grow patient volume.
Manages Compliance, Risk Management, Infection Control, Employee Health, Quality and Performance Improvement, Clinical Recruitment/Retention and Case Management.
Oversees credentialing and re-credentialing processes, following procedures outlined in the medical staff bylaws.
Develop nursing policies.
Ensures job descriptions are available for each category of nursing services and develops/revises job descriptions as needed.
Oversee new employee orientation and competencies.
Provide supervision of all clinical staff.
Oversees ongoing in-service education program.
Oversees maintenance of HR files to include current verification of licenses and physical examinations.
Routinely deal with proprietary and confidential information.
Work is performed in the private office setting and all clinical areas of the ASC.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing required.
Must hold a current RN license from the Board of Nursing in the state where you work.
BLS/ACLS required.
Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in an endoscopy environment.
Minimum 3 years of clinical management experience, preferably in an endoscopy ASC.
Minimum of 1 year experience in surgical/recovery nursing.
Direct Reports All ASC Staff.
Travel: Minimal travel may be required.
Knowledge, Competencies & Skills: Demonstrated skills in verbal, written English and public speaking ability.
Experience in budgeting and personnel management.
Able to work independently and meet established deadlines.
Able to make sound, reasonable decisions.
Highly organized with the ability to concentrate on many detailed requests despite numerous interruptions.
Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, and receptiveness to change.
Displays creativity and innovation.
Ability to identify and calmly handle inherently stressful situations with tact.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to develop excellent working relationships with physicians, corporate staff, hospital partners, and ASC staff.
Continuous multi-tasking skills required.
Have good mental and physical health.
Must be able to pass state-required pre-employment physical exam.
Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute.
Physical Requirements for the Job: Physically able to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and maintain body positions for long periods.
Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Requires the use of office equipment, phones, faxes, and email.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or instruments.
Requires the ability to hear, see, and speak.
Able to move up to 100 pounds.
Requires the ability to distinguish letters and symbols in the English language.
Requires working under variable conditions and/or working irregular hours.
Exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
Typical Work Environment: Significant contact with staff/co-workers, patients and their families, other employers, physicians, their office staff, local hospital team members, and other healthcare community members.
