The Housekeeping Manager will deliver an uncompromising quality of service and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness to the Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club members and guests through a coordinated teamwork approach.
Responsible for the overall efficiency, direction, coordination, and evaluation of the housekeeping department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manages daily routines and responsibilities of the department and maintains proper inventories while operating within an established budget.
Plans work schedules according to occupancy levels to ensure a high standard of service.
Coordinates Legionella Hotel program and in conjunction with Engineering department, helps facilitate a preventive maintenance program for all rooms and facilities.
Maintains MSDS forms and trains housekeeping employees on the proper usage of chemicals.
Regularly inventories and orders supplies and equipment.
Monitors payroll daily to ensure budget objectives are being met.
Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of establishment and work performance of housekeeping staff.
Investigates new and improved cleaning instruments and methods.
Handles guest challenges and special requests as needed.
Maintains flexibility to take on new and additional tasks as directed by manager.
Education/Experience:
Three to five years of related housekeeping supervision/management experience in hospitality and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record check.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements:
Able to stand and walk on their feet for 95% of the shift.
Able to reach, bend, twist, stoop, squat, and stretch to fulfill tasks as required.
Must be able to climb stairs with vacuum cleaner.
Regularly lifts 25 pounds and occasionally lifts 50 pounds.
