The Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club is a beautiful and secluded member-owned country club with 36 holes of championship golf and 50 guest suites, rated as one of America's top golf resorts SUMMARY The Spa Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading and enabling the spa team to deliver the best possible customer experience.
This includes coaching and training the team, delegating, following-up on daily tasks, managing performance, and ensuring adequate spa coverage.
Resolves client conflicts and ensures proper maintenance of the facility and equipment.
Strong leadership skills, managerial acumen, and a deep commitment to customer satisfaction.
It is important that this supervisor communicates upward to keep management informed of concerns, issues, praises, and morale.
Duties/Responsibilities: Implement processes to support the vision, increase revenue and enhance customer service in Spa.
Accountable for controllable costs in spa.
Offer and explain services, treatments, and procedures.
Maintain a steady clientele by keeping well organized, operating efficiently, and adhering to all company and State Board guidelines.
Recruit, interview, hire and train spa staff on spa bookings Scheduling, approve and submit payroll, PTO.
Work cooperatively with the entire Spa team to ensure a consistent booking schedule.
Create staff schedules and submit them to the team daily.
Perform routine site inspections of Spa reception desk area, linen closets, locker rooms if needed, quiet room and monitor inventory.
Maintain cleanliness to ensure compliance with State Board regulations.
Schedule client appointments and accept payments.
Ensure smooth operation of Spa in coordination with the Guest Services, Prebooking, Laundry and Maintenance departments.
Follow incident reporting procedures in case of emergencies and be sure all supervised staff are aware of the procedures.
Answer Phones 100% of the time during business hours, checking voicemails/emails and returning messages promptly.
Maintain a cooperative working relationship with co-workers and guests.
Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the department manager.
Maintain friendly and professional environment, an atmosphere of serenity and cleanliness of the Spa.
Skills/ Abilities Ability to analyze activities and/or information independently and stay highly organized.
Must possess good verbal and written skills.
Ability to manage a wide variety of activities at the same time.
Self-motivated and a problem solver.
The ability to concentrate for extended periods of time.
Experience supporting or participating in the process of training, mentoring and developing team members.
Education/Experience: High school Diploma or GED.
Should have a minimum of one year experience in a hotel and/or guest service industry.
Previous supervisory experience, hospitality environment preferred.
Massage therapist license a plus.
Must possess good verbal, written and listening skills.
Able to apply basic math skills.
Sales experience a plus.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift, carry, push, squat, twist or pull.
Must be able to sit for at least 25% of the shift.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Exposure to water, chemicals, and cleaning agents.
Climb and descend stairs.
