We are seeking a responsible Part-Time Closing Manager to join our team at the historic Hotel Congress.
As the Closing Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient closing operations of the bar areas, ensuring a smooth transition from evening to a well-prepared venue for the next day.
This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle high-volume credit and cash transactions.
*Job Type:* Part-time, Hourly – non-exempt
*Schedule: *3-4 nights per week, including weekends – must be available late nights
*Responsibilities:*

Closing Procedures:*
· Supervise and coordinate closing procedures to ensure a timely and orderly closing of the bar.
· Confirm that all guests have exited the premises, and the bar is secure.
· Conduct inventory checks and ensure that all products are properly stored and accounted for.
· Communicate any shortages to the management team to prepare for the next shift.
· Complete the nightly log and send it to all managers.

Financial Management:*
· Conduct cash and credit card reconciliations at the end of the shift.
· Verify server and bartender cash-outs for accuracy.
· Prepare nightly tip reports.

Staff Oversight:*
· Manage and direct staff, including servers, door staff, barbacks, and bartenders, to ensure all duties are completed efficiently.
· Address any discrepancies in cash handling with the staff and report to management/auditors if necessary.
· Oversee the cleaning and sanitization of all areas on the property, including the bar top, tables, floors, stages, and restrooms.
· Ensure that all equipment is turned off, and the facility is secure.
· Collaborate with security personnel to maintain a safe environment during closing procedures.
· Address any security concerns promptly and log any incidents accordingly.
*Qualifications:*
· Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
· Strong cash handling and reconciliation skills.
· Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
· Exceptional communication and leadership skills.
· Ability to work late-night shifts and weekends.
· Familiarity with bar and restaurant Point of Sale (POS) systems.
· Understanding of local liquor laws and regulations.
· Certification in responsible beverage service.
