Job Summary: The Kitchen Lead will be expected to assist with the Kitchen Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our establishment’s kitchen staff.
As the Kitchen Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ordering supplies, scheduling shifts, and monitoring inventory levels.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have proven culinary and lead experience.
In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should also demonstrate outstanding leadership and organizational abilities.
Essential duties and Responsibilities: Notify Chef or Food & Beverage Manager of necessary Maintenance/Repairs.
Complete Food Safety Certification.
Maintain inventory control as needed Conduct training on restaurants procedures and expectations.
Develop schedule for kitchen staff to ensure coverage and maximize operational efficiencies.
Coordinate with the Chef or Food & Beverage Manager.
Ensure the kitchen is cleaned and meets all regulations.
Ensure the food is prepared to order and in a timely manner.
Store all food products in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Ensure the kitchen are clean and organized.
Other duties as assigned.
Must pass a background check.
Education, Skills & Work Experience Requirements: 3+ years of experience working in a multi dining restaurant concept.
Capable of conducting and assessing restaurant inventory.
Experience with delegating tasks and maintaining fast speed of service.
Culinary school or food industry-specific experience.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with the kitchen staff.
Superior attention to detail.
Skilled negotiator.
Financial understanding.
Physical stamina to withstand a full shift potentially on their feet.
Must be ServSafe and HACCP certified (Preferred) Work Environment: Ability to pull, push, and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
Extended and irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays (Required)
