00 Hourly Job Summary: Old Tucson Entertainment is looking for an enthusiastic Bartender Lead to help oversee and direct our Bartending team.
Good Lead Bartenders will provide specialized services for guests through the knowledge of serving techniques, ensuring that food and beverages being served are of high quality and properly presented as well as acting as supervisor and direct report to the Bartending Team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Greet customers and take orders.
Prepare and serve beverages in-keeping with Old Tucson standards and recipes.
Verify identification and age requirements of customers.
Ensure the bar and storage area is stocked and organized.
Maintain a clean/hygienic bar including prep station, utensils etc.
Make suggestions based on customers’ tastes and preferences.
Process POS, cash-handling.
Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations.
Supervising/oversee bar team.
Ensure expectations are communicated with each team member per each bar location and follow-up at the end of shift to ensure they are met.
Manage inventory, communicate with Bar Supervisor on ordering supplies.
Assist Bar Supervisor in creation of optimum POS/menu structure.
Assists in the scheduling of all bartenders and barbacks.
Assist in parkwide inventories.
Perform cash handling, accountability and action voids/refunds and discounts.
Maintain and control secure storage for supplies.
Bar Lead will hold a key: Maintain adequate key control for all keys issued.
Assist in featured drink creation, building recipes, planning menus for seasons/events.
Abide by alcohol limitations and ensure bar operates to code/industry standards.
Be responsible for briefing bartenders at the beginning and end of shifts.
Handle customer complaints/enquiries and escalate to Bar Supervisor where necessary.
Occasionally assist with receiving orders, liaising with vendors when necessary.
Education, Skill and Work Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED Certificate.
Minimum two (2) years of bar or restaurant experience which includes drink preparation.
Current beverage service certification or other certification as required by federal/state/local law.
Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol.
Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
Basic math and computer skills.
Confident mixologist as well as experience with beer and wine serving.
Work well under pressure and as a team-player.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong task and time management abilities.
Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
Work Environment: Ability to pull, push, and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
Both interior and exterior work environments.
Extended and irregular hours including special events, nights, weekends, and holidays (Required).
