The Director of Facilities is responsible for the oversight of all facility operations and management for Oro Valley Hospital.
Directs an organization's facilities department.
Oversees the functioning of building systems including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, and elevators.
Manages the maintenance of buildings and grounds.
Oversees contractors for facility renovation projects entailing HVAC, electrical systems, and production floor arrangement.
Responsible for maintaining readiness for regulatory compliance surveys like Joint Commission.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks.
Education Required: High School or 4+ years of experience in Healthcare or Hospital Facilities.
Preferred: Post high school vocational/Specialized training: Apprenticeship trade/technical school training in electrical, HVAC, plumbing or millwright.
Experience Required: Two (2) years leadership experience in maintenance or facility operations in a healthcare or hospital environment; Preferred: Experience in an acute care hospital environment with large power plants.
