The Montessori Schoolhouse is seeking a Business Manager to join our dynamic team.
This role provides leadership and support in a variety of non-academic matters to ensure the efficient day to-day management of the Finance, HR, Purchasing, Administration and Facility functions.
The Business Manager will work in collaboration with the school leadership team to develop and manage the school’s budget and create annual financial reports, interface with the Arizona Department of Education and other related agencies, stay abreast of compliance requirements, manage facilities and vendors, and other special projects and duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: • Bachelor’s degree with experience in public and/or charter school business management or financial experience required.
• Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE: • Experience in business management and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Proficient in Excel • Familiar with Google Suite • Excellent written and verbal communications skills • High attention to detail ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Prepares and submits annual school budget using the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) template.
• Interfaces with school auditor and reviews annual audit.
• Reviews financial statements.
• Monitors ADE communications and supplemental reporting/compliance requirements.
• Prepares and submits annual financial report to the Arizona Department of Education.
• Prepares Board Meeting agendas, reports, and documentation and facilitates periodic board meetings.
• Interfaces with the Arizona State Board for Charter Schools (ASBCS) and completes all ASBCS amendments and reports.
• Interfaces with the Arizona Charter School Association.
• Manages tuition collection, deposit, and follow-up.
• Manages facilities for three campuses and coordinates with vendors (including landscaping, cleaning services, repair services, etc.
).
• Special projects as assigned.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $3,000.
00 - $5,000.
