Afghan Hound

I am in no hurry to rehome him and want to find him the perfect home.
* It breaks my heart to do this but I have to find my beautiful domino afghan hound a new home.
I am moving next year and will simply no longer have the time or resources to take care of him; this is a HIGH maintenance breed.

He is an unaltered male about a year and a half old.
Great with other dogs and ok with cats, though I would still advise supervision as he is still a sighthound with a prey drive.
He is perfectly crate trained and knows basic commands.
Afghan hounds are aloof, independent, and incredibly sweet with their bonded people.
He is friendly with everyone but will usually take a little warming up before he shows you just how goofy and affectionate he is.
Be aware that he will require consistent grooming (at least weekly thorough brushing) and I will only place him in a home that has a backyard; he needs space to run.
He is incredibly important to me and I would really love to stay in contact with his new owners.
