Campbell Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85724 USA Position Highlights The College of Medicine - Tucson seeks an Admissions Coordinator to support the daily administrative and recruitment functions of the Admissions Office.
This position will serve as a point of contact for prospective students navigating the application and admissions process, as well as the coordination of multiple recruitment event programs.
The Coordinator will also manage several key internal functions of the admissions process by helping to coordinate and plan the Applicant Visit Day including the Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI), Revisit Days, and Second Look.

Duties & Responsibilities Schedule and coordinate Medical Student Applicant interviews, also known as Multiple Mini Interviews (MMI).
Assist with recruitment of evaluators to facilitate the interview day, ensuring proper training and evaluation of each applicant occurs.
Maintain interviewer and applicant access to the AMP system for coordinating and facilitating the interview process.
Review applicant pre-requisite requirements, and advise applicants of missing requirements and pathways for completion.
Ensure applicants have met College of Medicine-Tucson requirements by matriculation, and advise applicants on course options to consider.
Coordinate all functions of various recruitment events for the Admissions Office including Applicant Revisit Days and Second Look.
Assist with the planning and implementation of College of Medicine-Tucson events like Graduation, White Coat, and Orientation.
Coordinate and participate in Admissions Outreach events such as the AAAMC Virtual Medical School Fair, UA College of Medicine-Tucson Mock MMI, and Applicant Workshop, as well as presentations for the Pre-MD Ambassadors, Med 493 A, Frontera, ASEMS, and other undergraduate groups.
Assist with outreach efforts to local high schools and community colleges.
Perform administrative functions for the Office of Admissions such as answering and directing phone calls and emails, maintaining communications with potential applicants through the joint admissions inbox, updating websites and distributing communications, coordinating student tours, ordering supplies, and coordinating travel and conference accommodations.
Assist with the application screening process as a dedicated secondary screener.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Skill in public speaking and presenting information to large groups.
Skill with data-based-cloud storage system or application system.
Ability to communicate effectively with different groups/individuals.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience is required.
One (1) year of relevant work experience is required.
