Integrated Magnetics is looking for innovative mechanical engineer(s) to perform mechanical CAD drafting, drawing, mechanical analysis, and mechanical manufacturing development for new and existing projects involving electro-mechanical and magnetic assemblies and devices in the Tucson, AZ manufacturing plant.
The company is receiving many high profile projects involving innovative technologies including examples from electric jet turbines, control rod actuators in use for nuclear applications, etc.
Mechanical engineers are needed for managing project(s) from a design, manufacturing, drawing documentation, quality, costing and timeline aspects.
The company is partially employee owned and candidates who stay with the company for the long term will receive shares in the company over time as part of the retirement benefits package.
Qualifications:
* Must be familiar with use of Solidworks CAD software for drawing and drafting mechanical components and assemblies with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
* Understanding of mechanical engineering principles including mechanics, dynamics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis
* Prefer Knowledge of machine shop operations with lathes, mills, grinders, etc.
* Prefer FEA simulation knowledge for structural, thermal and dynamic analysis
Education:
* At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
* Prefer a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
* Prefer at least a 3.

The candidate needs to be security clearable to Department of Defense and/or Department of Energy standards since the company works on military projects as a defense contractor for the US military/aerospace industry and nuclear energy industry projects that involve access to security confidential information.
