We use the latest CNC, CAD/CAM and laser scanning technology to produce, repair and upgrade all manner of pumps, blowers and related equipment.
*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:*
1.
Create and maintain CAD models, inspection reports and related documentation for pumps, gear reducers, blowers, pump/piping/skid systems and other products
2.
Create and maintain part numbers, bills of material and related documentation in ERP system.
3.
Reverse engineer parts and assemblies (via measurement with scanner and common metrology tools supplied by company)
4.
Research and locate information including bills of material, parts lists, part numbers and sources for parts for pumps, gear reducers, blowers and other equipment with internet and internal resources.
5.
Use PDM Vault to store, retrieve and archive models, drawings and related engineering data.
6.
Assist with post-production qualification of new designs
7.
Assist shop floor with retrieving and updating drawings, models and CNC programs
8.
Assist with refining and documenting existing and new engineering-related processes
*MARGINAL/LESS ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:*
- Occasionally visit customers at their sites to gain perspective on designs, establish/clarify requirements
*ADVANCEMENT PATH:* Senior CAD designer
*JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:*
*Training and Experience:*
- 2-4 years in similar role or equivalent (as determined by AZP&M)
- High school or secondary school diploma
- Experience with CAM/CNC shop support preferred
- Experience in industrial/mining/oil and gas equipment design (ie pumps, gearing, blowers, compressors, valves) preferred
- Experience with Romer/Hexagon scanning equipment highly preferred
- Detail oriented personality, attitude focused on excellence
- Software:
o PDM Vault
o Solidworks
o Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Teams and Outlook
o Standard web browsers
o Adobe Acrobat, especially comment/edit functionality
o Experience with Global Shop ERP system highly preferred
o Experience with DezignWorks scanning software highly preferred
- Ability to use common metrology tools
- Ability to read and understand machine drawings
- Fluency in written/spoken English language
*Physical Demands:*
The employee is required to:
- Stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor.
- Exert 20 to 30 pounds of force occasionally
- Work at a desk for extended periods of time
*Licenses Required: *None
*Visual Acuity:* Near acuity and accommodation are required for reading
computer screens, printed and handwritten documents, books and engineering drawings
*Hearing Ability:* Ability to carry on normal conversation in person, on conference call software or on a telephone.
*Working Conditions:* the employee is subject to:
- Occasional high noise levels from operating machines
- Occasional physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts
