Job Summary: Systems Design & Architecture (SDA) is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Naval Interceptors Department as a Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE) supporting Software Development Programs.
This is a full-time onsite role supporting classified programs within a critical RTX progr in Tucson, AZ.
This position is a technical role contributing directly to the successful software upgrades of programs for both fielded and development systems.
The SE will directly contribute technical tasking for the program.
These responsibilities include managing all system and subsystem requirements, providing SE technical oversight during integration and test activities, leading verification and validation efforts for the system, and providing SE expertise in troubleshooting and failure investigations.
The SE role requires a high level of technical proficiency in the area of software integration, multi-disciplined coordination, and establishing and maintaining relationships with the customer technical community.

Responsibilities to Anticipate: Update and maintain all system and subsystem level requirements specifications SE technical contributor for verification and validation efforts, ensuring all requirements are being assessed during Formal Qualification Testing Work closely with the Systems, Software, and Test teams and IPTs on a variety of program technical tasks Participate in technical conversations with the customer Become a knowledgeable and ‘go-to’ Systems Engineer for the program Help to onboard new team members, mentor, and guide them using core Systems Engineering skills Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following technical domains: Systems engineering, architecture, and/or design System performance and analysis Algorithms and signal processing Modeling and simulation (for example 6-DOF) Mission planning and analysis RF Sensor sub-systems Communication systems or subsystems Software architecture, design, development, integration, and verification Configurable Logic / Firmware / VHDL architecture, design, development, integration, and verification Two (2) years of systems engineering experience with exposure in at least four of the following: Interfacing with customers Developing CONOPS Developing & Refining System Architecture Developing & Refining System Requirements Performing Functional & Physical Analyses Performing Functional Allocation Creating & Maintaining Specifications Developing Requirements Verification Strategies and Plans Developing Integrated Systems Security Solutions Subassembly Integration & Verification System Integration & Verification Active and transferable U.
