Job Summary: The RF Range Operator will work with a team of engineers performing electrical tests and troubleshooting on antennas and antenna assemblies for conformance to specifications.
The candidate will apply the theory of operation for the unit under test to enable determination of faulty product for design, workmanship, environmental and/or component defects.
Additionally, the candidate will work on systems validation, test, and analysis, while working through all phases of development and integration within engineering labs.
This position is an onsite role, located in Tucson, AZ.
Responsibilities to Anticipate: Operate an Antenna Measurement Range.
Managing, scheduling, troubleshooting, and operating antenna measurement test ranges.
Perform preliminary analysis on antenna range test results against conformance specifications.
Help the customer generate test plans that will be conducted on the antenna range.
Integration, test, and validation activities.
Document and present findings to team members.
Basic Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience to include any combination of the following: Experience in test and measurement of RF products.
Experience in reading, understanding, and accurately following prints, schematics, sketches, as well as work from verbal and/or written instructions including test procedures.
Experience with the design, fabrication, and testing of electronic and mechanical sub-systems and CCAs.
Experience in documenting findings encountered during testing and troubleshooting.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.
S.
government issued security clearance is required.
U.
S.
citizenship is required, as only U.
S.
citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong interpersonal skills with desire to support enterprise initiatives.
Ability to prepare documentation with minimal oversight.
Strong communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
