Position Highlights The Arizona Student Unions is looking for full-time Dining Services Attendants (Culinary and Food Service Attendant I) to join our team.
This position will work an academic year schedule.
The upcoming academic year is August through May.
Incumbents will be off work during the summer months.
This position will be located at various locations on campus.
As a Dining Services Attendant, you will perform various duties necessary in the preparation or service of food.
This is first in a series of four classifications and is distinguished from the Dining Service Attendant, Senior in that incumbents do not have lead responsibilities.
This class typically reports to a Dining Service Supervisor or Cook, Lead.
Incumbents must be willing to work mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and day shifts to accommodate restaurant needs.
Successful candidates will be able to transport/move a minimum of 50 pounds.
Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

Duties & Responsibilities Sets up and replenishes serving lines and serves customers in food service units.
Gathers hot and cold food for service line and serves to customers.
Performs food preparation tasks such as sandwich and salad making and beverage preparation, following written standardized recipes.
Cleans and processes fruits and vegetables and prepares various salads, according to written standardized recipes.
Scrapes and sorts dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware and operates dishwashing machines.
Maintains cleanliness of dining room and kitchen areas; sweeps, mops, and vacuums floors; cleans dishes from tables and cleans dining room tables and chairs.
Responsible for cleaning of employee and public restrooms and operates power cleaning equipment.
Operates and cleans food service equipment.
Inventories area and completes required forms.
Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards in work area.
Must be willing to work mornings, nights, weekends, holidays and day shift to accommodate restaurant needs.
Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of job content, practices, and procedures.
Skills necessary to fully perform all aspects of the job.
Knowledge of cleaning equipment, products, techniques, and standards.
Skill in using cleaning products and equipment.
Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently reach, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry, and push.
Ability to transport/move a maximum of 50 pounds.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent learning attained through experience required.
Must be willing to work mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and day shifts to accommodate restaurant needs.
Preferred Qualifications One year commercial or institutional food service experience or any combination of experience, training and/or education.
