Pima County's Finance and Risk Management Department seeks a dynamic, motivated intern to join its Budget Division.
The successful candidate will work in a team environment, learning the day-to-day responsibilities of developing, analyzing, and maintaining Pima County’s annual budget.
The candidate will gain experience providing support to County departments in the budget development process, and the compilation of revenue and expenditure forecasts used to monitor and analyze the budgets.
They will also gain experience using the County's financial accounting and budgeting systems to perform data analysis.

The internship position is in-person and in-office.
This classification is in the unclassified service and is exempt from the Pima County Merit System Rules.

Minimum Qualifications
A recent graduate from or currently a junior, or senior at an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance, business analytics, or a closely related field.

Selection Procedure:
Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum/desired qualifications.
All applications will be assessed based on an evaluation of the listed education and experience.
Candidates meeting the minimum/desired qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications.
Additional assessments/testing may be required as part of the selection process.
Supplemental Information
Licenses and Certificates: Some positions may require a valid Arizona Class D driver license at the time of application.
Failure to maintain the required licensure shall be grounds for termination.
