Starting as the senior accountant for 3 growing businesses, this position is designed to grow into a controller-level role along with the growth of the businesses.

*Essential Functions:*
* Hire, Train & Supervise one or more clerk positions handling A/P, Payroll, Mail, Banking, etc.
* Coordinate with Practice and Surgery Center management to implement best practices in financial management, HR and inventory control.
* Complete timely and accurate month-end close.
* Prepare and process journal entries, including accruals and prepayments.
* Maintain Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
* Fixed Asset schedule updating and corresponding depreciation journals.
* Vendor invoice review and posting as part of Accounts Payable preparation.
* Accounts Receivable coordination with third party billing department.
* Inter-company transaction postings.
* Credit Card and bank transaction posting and reconciliations as necessary.
* Process bi-weekly payroll, related reporting and record keeping needs.
* Prepare and process AP in accordance with company policies.
* Ad-hoc reporting, as assigned.
* Annual 1099s preparation and filing for multiple entities.
*Experience:*
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level accounting role preferably in a medical industry role.
* Familiarity with cash basis, medical practice accounting is required.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office.
* Strong knowledge of financial concepts, accounting principles and practices.
* Experience with financial report writing and analysis.
* Proficiency in using accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
* Solid understanding of technical accounting standards (GAAP).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.
